Hi, I’m Najma Khokhar. I founded TechZone MD and built WQDas after spending over 15 years of working with environmental government agencies—living the data chaos that environmental teams face daily.

At the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), I managed air and water quality programs, served as Chair of the Information Management Committee for the Maryland Water Monitoring Council, and helped lead statewide efforts to modernize how we handle environmental data. I didn’t just watch this problem—I lived it first hand.

In that time, I’ve cleaned up thousands of spreadsheets, dug through countless PDFs, retyped values from printed reports, and chased down missing sampling codes late into the night before a major deadline.
